This is the very last photo I took with my camera before it broke. Seemed appropriate to keep it. RIP my poor old rebel.

NO, this is NOT fake water with a spray bottle, this is truly after a natural rain storm we had from a rose bush my husband got me for after we moved in our house on mother's day weekend. My first bush I got for the home.

Taken 7/26/15 with my first digital - Nikon Coolpix800 (2.1 mp) and a macro lens that still makes pretty great images. Things have come a long way since then.

Tiny feather stuck on a web of silk, dancing in the breeze.

I found this jumping spider in my bathroom trash can today! I was going to set her free and thought "let's see what it looks like up close."

I have a new Sigma Macro lens, and I haven't really done macro photography before. I was so happy when I downloaded the shots and saw how interesting this little creature was.

And then I set her free.

Things I learned for next time: Manually focus, use flash (ugh), and aperture at f22 or as close to that as possible.

I spent my morning at a park capturing little bumble bees on flowers.
